Kate Kuhn, founder of Bloom Yoga, teaches and practices vinyasa flow yoga with a focus on compassion, curiosity, integrity, alignment, and a healthy dose of humor.  She believes that our experiences on the mat have so much to teach us about our lives off the mat. Her style is nurturing and creative, and she encourages individuals to evolve in their practice in their own way, at their own pace. Her classes use a variety of music to encourage a happy, peaceful, grateful heart. She teaches group classes and private/semi-private session and leads yoga retreats nationally and internationally.

In 2011, Kate earned her 200-hour certification at Tranquil Space in Washington DC, and in 2019 she earned her 500-hour certification from Jason Crandell in San Francisco, CA. She acknowledges with gratitude all of the teachers who have shared their wisdom with her through the years, but most especially those who have blessed her with countless hours of positive energy, knowledge, wisdom, loving support and guidance on her yoga journey, including Jason Crandell, Sarah Cahill, Kevin Waldorf-Cruz, and Melissa Van Orman.

When not on the yoga mat, Kate works for an international education nonprofit. She is a firm believer that life is too short to miss any opportunity to laugh, cry, turn up the music and dance, eat, drink and be merry with family and friends, spend time in nature, and be on the giving or receiving end of a warm hug.

She is deeply grateful for the practice of yoga for helping her navigate this tremendous gift of life with an open heart, spacious body, and gentle mindset.

Kate holds two Yoga Alliance certifications:
Experienced-RYT 200 hour and RYT 500 hour
